4/21/12:Self Defense Saturday for Troop Leaders/Volunteers

4/21/12: Personal safety does not consist of one component. In fact, effective personal safety encompasses four major components: Awareness, Avoidance, Escape and Self Defense.

Troop leaders and chaperones are charged with the safety of each child in the troop when conducting activities including parades, cookie sales, public events and other frequent excursions enjoyed by the scouting experience.  Are your skills maximized? Do you have a "personal safety toolbelt" rich with safety tools to protect these children? Or are you completely unprepared for the unthinkable?  CPC's Self Defense Saturday on April 21 from noon to 5 is designed specifically for troop leaders.  Space is very limited therefore advanced registration is required.
